Empanadas — Mushroom | Chicken | Pork

Empanadas are portable pies. They can be baked or fried; the fillings can be savory or sweet. 

I chose to do three of my favorite savory fillings inside puff pastry:

  1. Mushroom — sautéed cremini mushrooms with goat cheese and thyme
  2. Chicken — Shredded chicken breasts with tomato
  3. Pork — seasoned pork with achiote and cumin

Minimum Order: 12 for each filling 

Serving Tips:

  • Lunch: serve them with a simple salad —baby greens with a citrusy dressing. All three types go great with citrus.
  • Cocktail Party or Business Luncheon:  serve them in a big platter and place a bowl of guacamole in the center and a side of salsa cruda (pico de gallo).
